Hi

It is a sad day where my "microsoft sidewinder x6" i bought from OcUK many moons ago has gone the way of the dodo.

I had a look and it seems no longer available and I am unable to find anything similar. I have a red color scheme for my system so would love to keep it.

Any advice would be most welcome.

All the best

Hi i thought i'd bump this again, I am after a smaller keyboard (with the number pad detachable or detached) for gaming with a red glow, any advice? anything similar to a Sidewinder X6 from Microsoft.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK the only other back lit keyboard available which has a detachable num. pad is the (IMO) overpriced abomination that is the Saitek S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 and I have no personal experience of it. As far as TKL keyboards go I have seen the Ducky DK-9087 Shine 3 TKL with Cherry MX brown switches back lit with red LEDs available and there is the Corsair Gaming CGK65 with Cherry MX red switches back lit with RGB LEDs available for pre-order, both of which are less than half the price of the of the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7. There's also the CM Storm Quickfire TK with Cherry MX red switches back lit with red LEDs which is of similar size to a TKL keyboard but has the num. pad and arrow keys combined, this again is noticeably less than the previous mentioned options and is in stock. The total width of this keyboard is apparently about the same as just the keyboard part of the X6, if you can live with Cherry MX red switches and the other differences like no macro buttons then I would recommend this.

I went from a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 to a Logitech G710+ and now a Ducky Shine 3 TKL. The DS3 TKL wins hands down. Greta keyboard, but of course pricey.
