Hello,

I've had my gaming rig a while now and its just too big and annoying in the living room nowdays, so I want to build a nice looking small(ish) PC and put the old PC in the spare room. So I need basically a whole new computer except graphics card as I recently bought a MSI GTX 970.

So can someone help me please? I need:

New PC(motherboard, cpu, power etc) with atleast 8 ram, atleast 256GB SSD, a small and nice looking case(that will still fit my graphics card), and a new monitor(27 inch). Budget of 600-700 if thats possible, can be more if I must.. :) It will mostly be used for gaming, browsing and watching movies/series. I dont need an OS.

You can get a cheaper case too but you did say a nice looking one and the Phenom looks even better in real life.

Nvidia officially states that a 450W PSU is fine for a GTX 970 but you want more than that when both CPU and GPU are going to be O/C'd, really. I think even a little overclocking on your 970 would be fine, since in this case the CPU is not overclockable and it's a good PSU.


You'd also need something like this adapter if you go for either case above and that motherboard, to run the fans:

Edit: I like the case in the bottom option, but the motherboard is out of stock. So I redid it and I choose different motherboard, CPU, memory and SSD. Does this look ok? :D

Matching Phanteks white blade fan (with red leds) for rear exhaust. I didn't spec one previously as the aftermarket cooler I specced blows the air in that direction and also due to budget constraints, but with your spec it's just the Intel cooler fan blowing onto the CPU socket and nothing exhausting/directing air.

With that K CPU you've chosen, you'll want a better cooler eventually for a decent overclock. But the Intel cooler will be ok at stock clocks for now.

You'll need something like this if you pick up a rear fan as motherboard only has two fan headers:
