Nearly two years ago, I purchased a second hand HP monitor, a LP2475W to be exact.

A short while after having the monitor I noticed something strange, If my montior is switched off then back on it will take exactly 16 seconds to wake.
It takes the same 16 seconds in every instance. From coming out of stand by or just starting the pc.

From this I was led to believe it was faulty, luckily the montor was still under warranty so I contacted HP and they exchanged it.

When I got home from work that day to check it, I found the new replacement did the same thing.

From this I changed the DVI cable and also tried an HDMI cable - no difference.

Since this, I upgraded from a P35 chipset to Z68 and still the same.

I can rule out the monitor, the display cables and my pc.

The one thing I can't rule out and what be the culprit is my GTX480 graphics card.

From the start this card has been rock solid, it has an aftermarket cooler fitted and rarely goes above 60deg.

The thing is I will probably upgrade my gfx card in the next six months, but I won't sell it knowing there could be an issue with it.

I posted hoping someone could shine a bit of light and maybe share a similar problem, or even give me some things to try.
