Looking for a pair of hi-fi speakers that are small, but can be wired into an Audiolab 8000A for the computer and Sonos Port.

Budget £300 I think.

Monitor Audio Radius 90 is the current thoughts.

They are great little speakers. Don't forget used too. Previous versions are just as impressive.

If you are willing to go second hand, have a look around to see if there are any NEAT Iotas for that price range.

Big fan of the Monitor Audio APEX A-10s for this role. Yes, they're more expensive, but they work so well.

They might be slightly too big but I use MA Bronze 2s as my PC speakers - Though they might be no longer made they are still available and discounted- a definite recommend (I use that as my PC speakers fed from a Chord 2Qute and Arcam Pre - power amplification and they are certainly good enough to match that)

How did you go from £300 budget to £600? Its like you completely disregarded what the OP said just to hone in your favourite pair of speakers....

It's usually a good idea to audition something well under budget; something at your budget; and something over budget so that you know what you can get for your money. It's not an excuse to "hone" in on my favourite pair of speakers (they're not; I'm an M&K fanboy); but rather, they're a good step up if the OP likes the Radius speakers from the same brand. Something to think about.

I'm happy with my DALI Zensor 3's. Purchased second hand for 200 if I recall, great speakers.

Exactly what I'm currently using- fantastic sound with plenty of clout, but they are a bit larger than some, due to the 8" bass units.

My other PC monitors are a set of Mission 751s which I got for about £120 on the well-known auction site. They are fantastic- only using the Zensors at the moment as my rig is not against a rear wall and the extra bass comes in handy.
Note: NOT the 'Freedom' version 751s with the soft-dome tweeters. They were a bit of a slip-up. You want the original, front-ported version with the metal-domes.
They punched above their weight in their day, and I'd say they can still hold their own today. Leave you with a fair bit of spare cash too.
They're also regarded as a fine match for Audiolab gear of that era too.
Just a thought...

Had a pair of Radius 90's for left and right sound duties, lovely speakers but without a sub can sound a tad light. Depends on how much space you have got and what you class as small, as to what to recommend.
