Hello all, I am looking for a very specific setup.
EDIT: Full post below, but does anyone know a small but good quality 15" ish monitor that can be mounted vertically? Best option I can find is the ASUS MB169B which is 1080p and IPS. But it's also USB powered and I'm worried that will either mean the monitor will not perform well (though it only needs to hold a PDF document) or will drain my Macbook battery/ cause it to struggle. My 2015 macbook pro might srtuggle to output to two screens as it is (with the lid closed). I would prefer if there was an external power source for it.
Full Post: What I would like is a dual monitor setup that is basically a screen and a half so that I can fit 3 vertical word /pdf docs side by side.
I would want something like a horizontal 16:10 22" monitor that is designed for reading on (I have a 24" gaming monitor and it's like staring into the sun when I open a document with a white background) and next to it a "half" monitor or a smaller vertical monitor. which can just hold a PDF file.
I've borrowed an ultrawide LG montor for the next few days and I think I really like it. 27" across and 12" tall. Perfect size for 3 docs side by side. The only downside is it would be more natural if I could have some sort of curve in it. A curved monitor might also be a possibility but they seem fragile and expensive and a bit flashy? I don't know why but it just doesn't appeal to me.
I guess the main thing is, are there any good quality small monitors (A4 size, 15" across, 12 inches tall by 9 inches wide) that I can put vertically, next to a similar A3 size monitor? If they are the same brand / designed to be used that way that would be amazing.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you
