Afternoon all,

On Wednesday I'm being graced with a shiny new 1 Gb fibre connection! So I will be decommissioning my hosted server and setting one up at home instead.

The box itself will be used for a variety of different things. Got a copy of MS Server 2012 r2 that will be the main OS on it. It's going to be hosting games, possibly a website, several IM related things and various virtual machines to practise on for work.

I'm looking for a m-itx build (or possibly m-atx [key thing is to be small and as silent as possible]) based around an i7 4770/4771 as the heart of it. I'm open to other ideas, such as Xeons or any AMD offering, just so long as it can fit m-itx/m-atx.

I have a 3 TB drive already that will be placed in there for storage, that's about the only thing that I will be putting in there.

Budget aim is around £1000, will stretch as far as £1300 if needs be. Since I'm in the Channel Islands I don't have to worry about VAT, so that should help a bit :D.

Thanks in advanced!
