Im looking for a case to complete my media centre, its all i need now.

must be micro-atx and needs to be with a PSU that will run

Motherboard with on board HDMI
1TB HDD Sata
DVD-RW
2gb Ram

and eventually i need to sort a TV card or some sort.

can anyone recommend something? want to to be black and look good with my Xbox, black wii etc. :P
 
Hmmm still looking to big I think I'm liking the look of the hiper one real slim one but seems out of stock everywhere and I've read about heat issues! Only bout £60 with 200watt psu!

Fusion micro only takes low profile cards. Wasn't a problem for me as I have a Hauppage Win TV Nova-T 500 and a compro E700. The latter came with a low profile bracket and the former was just a case of emailing Hauppage and they sent one out foc.

It does limit expansion capability, but most HTPC are designed to use the integrated gfx on the mobo (I have a 780G board in mine). A lot of decent sound cards are also available in low profile, so it shouldn't be a prob if you want to use one of those either.

how do you find the tv card? i was looking at the compro t500f or t750f. i guess these wouldnt fit.
 
how do you find the bundled remote with the antec case? i notice the e700 doesnt come with remote like the t500f, however the t500f seems out of stock in most places lol

thats what i thought, just want to make sure i get one that will have a good picture. whats the resolution that your card runs at?

i want to run it all through my 32" LCD if it will work pretty clear
 
interesting, we will see. well it will all be connected up using HDMI port.

can i run the sound though the TV speakers untill i get the amp and surround sound set up? or will i have to wait. sorry for all the questions. lol
 
ill look into that then for sure.

i am just not sure how all this works with WMC, can you tell it to boot straight into it. i notice the option is here on my laptop to open media centre, i guess that will be explained when im all built :)

how do you find the PSU thats included. im hoping it will be more than enough power to run what i have. considering its all built in gfx
 
yea true, cant wait to get it set up now.

only got a 500gb sata drive, but will be sure to get a rather massive one to go in there as well. of rather than!

im sure ill find the settings i need once its all installed. :) windows 7 is waiting to go on lol
 
right. its all plugged in and running :D

cant seem to get the remote (antec bundled one) to work with windows 7. also having trouble getting the LCD to check my emails lol not sure why but its hard work! lol

happy today as i was supposed to work but my boss called to say to much snow dont bother. so spent the morning building :D
