Hi,

I know most people are going to tell me to go for Sage or Quickbooks, MS accounting but its too much for what I need.

Basically all I need is:

Customer List
Product List
Invoicing/Quoting

I've tried so many different software titles its become silly.

The only one that is reasonable is Invoiceit! Which would be ideal but for some reason lays the address out really wierd. Like below

xxxxxxxxx,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
xxxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxx.

Would anyone have any invoicing software they would reccomend please?

Thanks,
Mark

Have you thought of using MS Office? Word and Access can be very powerful when used properly :)

Burnsy

Edit: Why oh why am I up at this godforsaken time?

We used to use MS Excel. Sheet 2 of the template was the customer database, sheet 1 the invoice template. Worked quite well. Although we have moved onto Sage now as we are using most of the other features in it now we've expanded.

@ MarkLP , I've used a few over the years .I currently use a very old version of Quicken for my personal accounts . It's very good but does'nt allow a customer data base . There is a add-on which I have never used called Quick Invoice , it allow you to print invoices from the acount data .There are lots of other versions of Quicken , more recent versions .
One program I found very good ,MYOB [ mind your own business] .This was indeed very good , on installation it allowed you to personalise the program arround your business . ie ...you clicked on what sort of business you had from a list .............gardener ,hairdresser ,printer etc , there were loads to choose from .It actually allowed you to keep a database of your customers , ie ,names ,addresses etc and tracked the ammount of money they had spent . The program would generate Invoices to print . This program was a fuly working program on a PC mag disk many years ago and was very good . Not sure if I'll run on XP though . I could try it though .
hope this helps

update: Have installed it onto XP and it works .You can create a customer database with full address [not zip code [USA]],individual or business .You can add items for sale and it will track the items. You can create Invoices but no estimates or quotes [pity] . It tracks all expenditure , has upto 10 levels of VAT .GUI is abit dated but considering this was designed for win95/98 its not bad for a freeby. It takes up arround 8meg of space.Just about everything is customisable and it will even print labels from the database. It tracks all expenditure like vehicle depreciation ,electric ,gas etc.
