Small(-ish) stereo speakers?

I'm looking for a pair of stereo speakers for £150-£200 - I'm not after a 2.1 as it's mostly for music. But they to be on the smaller side because the new build is going to have a much larger monitor (24" to 32") and the speakers can't be wall mounted. If they were 6" x 6" x 8" (each) that'd be great, but I could stretch to another inch all-round.

Is there anything good for that price and size?

I recently bought a pair of Ruark MR1's and they're every bit as good as the reviews say.

If you shop around you can get them with a half decent discount. I paid just over £200 for mine.

If you get Active speakers no need for an Amp id get Actives if your budget is Small with a ok DAC for £100

You'd only need an amp if you're looking at passive speakers; unless you mean headphone amp. Lowrider was referring to a speaker amp.
