Small LCD tv's + xbox 360

Ive got a 15 inc samsung LCD TV ive had for about 2 years and its wall mounted in my room with my xbox on it. Oddly games look far better if I set the xbox picture mode to widescreen over the normal setting. Anyone else on smaller tvs noticed this?

mines a 20" standard tv and its set to widescreen seems to fit better

Yeah I kinda guess mine seems to "fit" better on widescreen as well. Takes time getting use to but it does look 2x better than on the previous setting

So are you guys running in widescreen stretched, or Widescreen with black borders?

On a related note, looks great @ 720p on my Samsung 940MW (19" HD Ready Widescreen TV/Monitor). Much better than my Dell 2001FP tbh.

hmm not sure, its not stretched and theres no borders lol

Now thats just strange

Only way to fill a 4:3 screen with a widescreen image is to crop the sides :confused:

(or stretch)

AH wait just checked - ive got some dodgy setting on which "zooms" into the image, cutting out the black parts. Looks better with it, can see and read stuff easier lol

Well wouldn't that cut the sides off?
