Small lower powered server suggestions?

I want to build a little low powered file server based around an ITX board in a 1u rack case. I need to be able to stick 4 drives + 1 one for the OS into it too.

Just wondering would it be better to stick with atom or go over to AMD new cpus?

Atom is cheaper.

Just for a file server? Get an Atom. As long as it has enough space for the drives. Got a case in mind? Will need 5 drive bay spaces, and thats seems to only be on full depth cases.

They will be built almost identically to my amps!

I got them off ebay them cut them in half. They were second hand and in mint condition for just a tenner each.
