Hi Guys,
I came on here a couple of years ago and you specced me a brilliant home workstation which is still going strong without issue.
I'm now looking at building/buying a server tower for a small office. Our budget is £500 maximum without OS. There appear to be some nice deals for prebuilt systems, a Lenovo with quad core E3, 16gb ECC and 2 1tb drives for under £300 with a rebate.
What would you recommend based on the following requirements.
-4 PC users connecting to server.
-Quick books
-Filesharing from server.
-PCs backup to server
-Simple CCTV runs on server with monitor and recording facility.
I'm happy to consider either prebuilt or custom specced. Are xeon processors and ECC RAM relevant for us?
