I am after getting a small smart pc to replace my DVD player and freeview box.

I have a Samsung 37" tv with freeview and 720HD.

I want to have wifi so I can connect it to the router and use the TV as a monitor to surf, watch downloads and general home stuff like pics and entertainment.

I want a graphics card that will have hd output for the TV and plenty of juice to run apps, storrage not a problem.

Here is a spec I have got of a well known site

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 processor (2.66GHz, 1333MHz, 6MB cache)
MEMORY 2048MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024] edit
HARD DRIVE 320GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive edit
GRAPHICS CARD 256MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 2400 XT graphics card edit
OPTICAL DRIVE DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD)
Total £503 inc vat and del

Please could anyone make any suggestions

You probably don't need that processor. Something cheaper will do the job if you want to save some money.

Put it in this case with a quiet cpu cooler.

I think you can get a passively cooled 3650 too.

It's worth putting in a freeview tuner (make sure its VMC compatible) so you can record one thing on your TV and watch another on the PC, or vice-versa. If you put Vista premium on it you could use VMC to do everything, including watching TV and a remote is cheap. The EPG is good too.

If you want blu-ray for high def movies the drives are much cheaper now.

Hope some of this helps.
