Small Problem - Help Please

Sorry if this has ever been asked before, but whenever i move the mouse, i get a small constant tinging sound coming from my headphones.

It's not very audible when playing, but for browsing the web etc. it does get rather annoying and i would love to fix it.

Using onboard sound, with a razer copperhead and razer barracuda headphones, but i think the problem was there with cheapo headphones too.
 
I get this sometimes when the headphones aren't plugged in properly, causes by static from the metal on the back of the case coming into contact with the headphone wire and the static comes out the speaker.

Failing this try the latest sound drivers & mouse firmware/drivers
 
Thanks for the reply but i'm certain everything's plugged in correctly (only one way to plug the barracuda's in, and the mouse is self explanatory)

Think i'm up to date with all the latest drivers for the mouse, but i do not know how to update my AC'97 drivers (don't know if i can), but i'll have a look.
