i took the plunge and installed mint 8 on acer aspire 5530 laptop as windows 7 was just to sluggish , its only used for web browsing etc , small problem after install , the touch pad is not behaving mouse curcor is jumping all over the screen , button presses happen randomly etc , apart from that it seems very fast , an idea how i can sort out the touchpad problem?
