My system is an OCUK i7-920 @3.8G.
It was OK this morning. Just tried to boot up and nothing except some half hearted attempts to get going.
I now have a screen in front of me which states:-
"The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of voltages.
Last settings in BIOS setup may not coincide with the current H/W state".
CPU Speed = 2.666GHz BCLK = 133MHz Mem spd = 1066MHz
--------------------------------------------
My options are:-
Del: BIOS Setup F1:Smart Backup F9:ExpressRecovery2 F12: Boot Menu
--------------------------------------------
Can someone advise me how to proceed please
Thanks.

I didn't have all the specs to hand. They are:-
i7-920D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66GHz [email protected]
Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Dual Fan Cpu Cooler
Corsair HX 650W PSU.
All running an ATI 5870.
It was an Ultima Vanquish but not the one recently advertised.

Sure will. Just sent off the WebNote.
Can't help noticing your rig is similar @4GHz so I suppose mine would go there if OCUK told me what to do?

It will more then likely just need a tweak regarding voltage or mem timing, they will help you, if you get stuck give me a shout ill help you if things dont make sence:)

OK Wise Guy
Sorted.
Took the "Press any key to continue" option.
Rig then went into "BIOS Auto Recovery".
Powered down/up on it's own then booted into Win7 OK :)
So what have I learned:-
Have the courage of your own convictions and some guys don't like yellow :p

interestingly i have just replaced 3GB of OCZ 1333MHZ ram with the same ram you have. (6GB XMS3 1600)

And I have just started experiencing the same issue with my i7 920, but only from a cold boot.

when you press F1 to continue it is likely that you will be booting with the bios "safe" settings not the overclocked profile that OCUK supplied.

you could verify your overclock is still applied using CPU-Z

All sorted :) . I couldn't leave it pending advice from here as it was getting late.
I took the "Press any key to continue" option and from what I was presented with next took the "BIOS Auto Recovery" option. The rig powered down/up and booted into Win7 OK. It was clear I was not in my usual OC settings so I rebooted into CMOS and had a look around and discovered the OC Profile under F12 option. Chose that and re-booted and now all is back to normal.
Until then I wasn't aware of the OC Profile set by OCUK for such an event.
Meanwhile I have been in contact with OCUK and they think like me it was just a glitch to be kept an eye on .
