Small Problem /?

Well today i finally got rid of my god forsaken saxo So i now have some money to play with so what shall i do in terms of new gfx card gts/gtx/2900xt? Ive got around £300 budget but maybe shretch to 350 if needs be. i only play on 19" 1280x1024 atm but gonna upgrade to 22" soon enough. Any views welcome

GTS 640 or the GTX then I suppose seeing as the 2900XT is not quite matching the GTS 640 but costs more...

The 2900XT doesnt match the GTS 640 in some games, but is far better in others from what i have seen. Its a 50/50 proposition with Nvidias drivers being mature at this point & ATI's drivers will likely get better on the majority of games & possibly drastically on some. The added HDMI (with audio) is also a nice bonus on the 2900XT, as are the free games Portal, Half-life 2: Episode 2, & Team Fiortress 2. My choice would be the 2900XT!

Mofo, if running Vista, definetely go for Ati, but essentially do some research and find out what reviewers think of both series (8800 VS 2900).

thanks for replys im stuck between 640gts and 2900 , the 2900 would be ok in a sense cuz of the xfire possibilities with the pb5 :/ decisions decisions lol

Go for the ati if you thinking of CF,it gives you a extra option later
