Hi there,

I've been out of the builds market for a while now (last system I really built was about a year ago), and I was wondering if someone could give me some build advice.

My father recently purchased a Sony Bravia TV and has asked me to set up a small media centre PC, preferably ATX cube size, to sit below it and store all of his music and video files. He was not planning to rip and store DVDs on the unit, but he may wish to keep the occational video file on there.

He has specified that it be fast (but he's not looking for top-end 3D performance), of a small form-factor, store at least 500GB of data, and be as quiet as possible. No budget was specified, but I assume that he's thinking £500-£600.

Thanks. :)

Not sure on the case, but this would sit nicely with most tv systems, and its a fast little thing, wont be any good for gaming, but as you said you dont need that, so the above should suite quite well...

Thanks for the replies, guys; both specs are very much appreciated. :)

I think I know where to go from here (my father was particularly impressed by that HTPC case!), but if anybody else wants to throw more suggestions out there, feel free.
