My dad unfortunately has written off his corsa and is looking at a replacement. Budget is around £6-7k looking at a few years old and sub 20k miles. No need to consider resale as once bought it'll be run until it dies.

What's the best to be looking at? So far on the shortlist is

Fiesta
Fabia
Corsa (new shape)

Just looking for a list to start with to go test drive next week

I know Skoda do well in reliability tables but the mother in law has owned a Fabia from new and it has been a PITA. Constantly going in for untracable faults that leave it refusing to start. Now needs new injectors (again) according to Skoda.

Of that list the current Fiesta would be my choice.

Mitsubishi Evo 6.

3 year old Toyota iQ. Small, can fit 2 comfortably with bootspace or 3 with smaller bootspace or 4 with a brief case boot space. Fuel efficient, no tax and suitable for anyone looking for a small nippy car.

I thoroughly recommend it to anyone one wanting a small car, 90% not carrying more than 2 people, easy park and or often visiting London CC.

Make sure it's the iQ 2 or better for more kit.
It's a Toyota too, so if it's 3 years old, there's 2 more years of warranty :)
