small speakers for monitor?

I am thinking of using an old monitor in the bedroom with my PC and PS4 as it unsurprisingly has much better image quality than the Logik nafftacular currys jobbie I'm currently using.

The problem is, the monitor obviously has no sound. The sound from the logik tv is rubbish as you'd imagine, so it won't take much to beat it. The important factor is that the speakers need to be small.

So are there any small speakers, or maybe a soundbar (I dont really know what these are- are they only low down sounds like subs?) that give "mediocre" or better sound quality? And is there such a thing that can mount my speakers to the back of the monitor using the VESA holes or anything?

Edit- the monitor is 24"

ebay and search 'small computer speakers' loads of tiny options for a fiver that will sound mediocre. Personally I'd look for a sub sat 2.1 setup as that will give you a lot better than mediocre sound!

I use Dali Lektor 1's for this job, wall mounted and with a tiny T-Amp mounted behind the screen.

Pricey but I bet they sound nice!

I use a similar setup on my PC I have a SURE T-Amp driving an ancient pair of Wharfedale Modus cubes and I've not heard many systems that compact and cheap that sound better!
