Small system for the TV

I've got a few films off iTunes (got them for my iPhone when I was on holiday)

What recommendations do people have for playing onto the TV and Hi Fi for iTunes content.

I assume I can get away with something low end etc?

Depends - if you want HD content, stay clear of Atom based solutions - even the latest, fastest ones are a bit iffy when it comes to HD content.

Ideally yes HD content as I've got a nice 40" Sony LCD TV

In time I am hoping to get a 23" in the main bedroom

ion based chipsets are the best bet for Atom+HD, but even then it's dodgy; expecting it to work out of the box is perhaps a bit much.

I tend to mention this a lot, but Asus T3 AMD variant? DX10, slap in a mid range Athlon/Phenom, job jobbed.

not too big, not loud at all, worth a peek?

Also has HDMI out on the mobo, saving you the bother of using dongly adaptoid thingies.

Well for playing back my iTunes library I was really lazy and bought an AppleTV. Plays back all iTunes content fine.
