Small tarmac job

Looking to get this gravel bit redone in tarmac. Needs a little edging along where the plants are, I'll chop those back ready.
It's approx 8m x 1m

One company had said around £1,200 which seems a bit steep.

Have a few more people coming to quote, of they show up.

What sort of price have people paid, if they've had anything like this done.

Yes I agree, it currently looks better than tarmac would. But we get randoms park next to it, jump out their cars, kick stone everywhere which we are forever picking up. We have that plastic grid system underneath, but doesn't fully help.
I tend to park away from the wall a bit too and we crush the stones.
So overall, its more practical to have tarmac, over looks.

Down to £1.2k, which seems ok, seeing other quotes. Tarmac site said about that price for that size area and if you paid £1k 18 months ago, £200 rise isn't bad.
Guess I was a bit naive!

I don't have any problem with people parking next to it, it's when they just jump out and have no decency to try and not kick stones everywhere.
Hopefully no one will jump up on it, no one's ever tried before or has reason too really.
