I bought a second hand erde 122 trailer to trial out for camping and taking stuff to the tip, its old and pretty beat up, had to replace the tires and jockey wheel, on hind sight, a bad buy.
Anyhoo, the metal holding the bolt on one of the mudguards has snapped, how would one go about repairing something like this?
Can I get a metal epoxy or something and patch a piece on to it?
I suppose I could just drill another hole through it instead of the original hole.
Or replace it with a plastic set.
Looking for the easiest and cheapest option.

Here is a picture of a similar mudguard. I have highlighted the bit that has broken off.

Yeah drill another hole nearby, otherwise sets of plastic trailer mudguards are cheap on eBay. I've had a set from there before when i built a trailer a few years ago.

Drill a hole and put another bolt on.

Bodged trailer repairs are part & parcel of the things - you should see some of the methods used in haulage when a mudguard gets ripped off.

So long as it’s secure and still mounted where it should be (more or less!) you’ll be fine.

Cool, thanks for feedback. I only noticed the stupid thing broke after I loaded it up with all the crap.
Will the police pull me over if I took it off?
I probably have to tip it over to access the nuts.

yeah you can be pulled over for the wheels being exposed, i have towed a trailer home for maybe 15 miles without any guards that i bought as an unfinished project. Just depends if someone sees you or not!
