I'm toying with the idea of getting a small and light touchscreen laptop for whenever I go on holiday. I want to be able to use it for light Photoshop or Lightroom work on the go (nothing crazy like stitching massive panoramas, just basic touch ups etc.), and also things like re-checking my itenary (sorting maps out just in case I don't have one prepared prior to the trip) without having to resort to using my tiny phone screen to do it all.
I was thinking a Surface Pro at first, but I'm not too keen on how the hardware is all closed, meaning down the line, the battery is going to be a pain/impossible to replace. The screen is also reflective, which might be a problem when outside compared to a matte screen.
I had a look at some comparison battles on Youtube, and something like the Samsung Ativ 9 Spiral (I think that's the name) would be nice, though that's double my budget.
