Hey guys

My current Rig is;
•i5 2500k 3.30 sandy bridge (overclock to 4gig)(water cooled)
•Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Wind Force 3x OC Rev2.0 3072MB GDDR5
•Gigabyte z68ap-d3 intel z68 board
•Kingston hyper x genesis 8gig ram
•Corsair 650D case
•Corsair Enthusiast tx 650 v2 power sup
•Screen BenQ XL2420T 3d 144mhz

I have just started to stream on twitch and its been going fine until I plug a 2nd screen into my computer so I can chat etc easier on the 2nd screen.

The 2nd screen is not as good as my Benq main, I think the max it can do is 60mhhz its IIyama Prolite E2407HDS.

The 2ndscreen will either crash or make the game on my main screen run crap.

I did tests on Heaven Benchmark 4.0 under the settings I used I scored 4145 but as soon as I did it over 2 screens it dropped to 2647 ish so it has to be the graphics card that's the problem right?

I was thinking should I just get like a 980ti? (amusing the power will be fine) If I have to replace the power sup I would want to replace the case, get ride of water cooling and make it smaller so i can take to lans etc and a few other things.

thanks for any help

I dont think gpu is a problem. There shouldn't be that big performance hit as you only have browser open. And to render another monitor should not be much demanding maybe max 5-8% performance hit but not as much as you mentioned. It's more likely that cpu is falling behind (I owuld oc cpu further 4.5ghz if possible. It should be fine you run it under water)

BTW I would keep what you got and wait for pascal gpu as 980ti have issues with dsx12 especially async. Maybe new gpu but you will be ideally looking at x99 platform and 5820k cpu

Two displays shouldn't make one bit of difference to your heaven benchmark. You must have some other issue. If you upgrade, then I'd upgrade the lot, sell the rest.

The PSU is fine for anything not SLI, but hey, why the hell not.

A total system upgrade with the latest and bestest (within reason) would be around £1500, so be prepared. Maybe a grand with compromises (i5, GTX 970 / AMD).

BTW, I don't really understand why you have a 2500k water cooled, with a budget board, and to only 4ghz for that matter. Hey whatever, I'm not judging. I would certainly not bother with the latest hardware.

If you want semi-portable, I would suggest m-atx. Plenty of good board and case combination. M-itx is too much compromise IMO.
