Hey all, been scouting around on the members market for something to use,

Anyone got a Cisco ASA 5505 or a sonicwall tz210 or other firewall which maybe around the same with atleast a UTM throughput of 40mbps or 50mpbs plus?

If so reply to my thread in wanted :)

It's for a family friends small business so ideally something along those lines would be good. So unified threat management, couple of RAS vpn users, maybe a site to site tunnel, atleast 40mbps WAN throughput ideally 50 more bonus.

They are running fibre so thinking of turning the hub 5 with built in VDSL modem into bridge mode

The problem you might find is that a lot of the security features tend to be licensed, is that something you're after? 50Mbps throughput with traffic inspection turned on to block traffic from botnets, drop certain types of known attacks, drop traffic originating in certain countries etc?

Yeah I know everything about licencing don't worry I'm a network engineer :)

Was more of a heads up to see if anyone had one lying about and could check out my thread in wanted but I think lv sorted something

Fair enough. Thinking laterally you could pair a 'normal' router that supports VPN like something DrayTek make with an OpenDNS plan to provide a limited amount of security if you needed to hit a budget.
