small vista question

My vista installation went all screwey for unknown reasons so im wondering is it possible if i get another hard drive, install xp/vista on to that and pull my pics/vids and music off the other hdd on to the new one ?

should be fine. Just because some of the OS has gone haywire doesn't neccessarily mean that any files in your documents have been affected.

Just plug old drive in to new system when its up and running and hit "explore"

Unless you've used some sort of encryption that is, you'll be fine

use bartpe and boot into that and pull your files off
