Small windows in Vista are flickering

I have windows vista ultimate x64 edition. Everything is great with it, too. But I recently noticed that whenever I restore down a window to a smaller window (where I can see the desktop background around the window) the window borders flicker ceaselessly. When I restore it back up to full screen: no flicker. The other thing I think that is associated with this is that everytime I try to access a drop down menu, it'll just disappear as soon as it drops down, making it impossible to select anything from the menu. I think that I have a virus, but I can't seem to locate it. Also ( I know this is lengthy), I do download torrents. I think this might have something to do with my download of Fallout3 a full rip provided by skullptura. I am lost. PS I am a noob. lol.

P.S. I did a system restore this morning for about three days ago. After it restored, there were no more symptoms. About five minutes later it started again. I believe it's a virus that had some sort of autorun.ini or something. If anyone can help me, please do so.

I think your problem is usb related.

It turns out it was just my thumb drive trying to autoplay after a couple of restarts. It's a sandisk with cruzer and the cruzer program kept trying to launch but it was catching on something, so my problem is solved. Thanks NinjaPleeeze.
