hello
i just today moved my pc into a new case because it was over heating in the old one so all went without a hitch. i booted it up and everything was fine the temps were 10-12 degrees below what they were so i decided to do a little(first time) oc'ing so i read the beginers guide in the oc'ing part of the forum and i followed it by upping the fsb from 200-205 and my cpu speed went from 3,4ghz to 3,48 i ran it in sp2004 for half an hour and the temps were well below what they were in the old case so i decided to crank it up to 206(i dont like strange looking numbers and 3.5ghz lookes nicer than 3.48 but thats another story)
so all was well until i shut down my pc for a few hours and then just now when i turned it on it still shows 3.5ghz 206x17 in the screen where you go into the bios but when i got into the pc i ran cpuz to look about and i found something strange the multiplier had changed to 14 and the clock speed was at something like 2.866ghz so i rebooted and changed it back from 206-200 and when i loaded up it showed 3.4ghz 200x17 on the bios entry screen, but when i got into cpuz it still showed the multiplier at 14 so my clock speed as you see is 2800mhz instead of 3400mhz
1st pic from before i changed it back 2nd pic from after i changed it back

please tell me there is something easy wrong with it

ive found something strange using systool and click enhanced intel speedstep on the menu it shows multiplier on the left and voltages on the right so i change the multiplier from 14-17 and it shows clock speed correct in cpuz but not in sp2004 or in the control panel/system screen,
i dont suppose anyone has even the slightest idea what is wrong,id really like my 600mhz back
