Heya guys, im looking at buying a new rig, and im currently running a mATX system, but want to go smaller again. Thing is not many places sell them and i was wondering why overclockers dont sell them, and if they did, how many of you out there would buy them if they were reasonably priced.

I would love to see some Mini-ITX and some Pico-ITX motherboards available.

mITX/ITX is a very specialist market. And the motherboards are just the start, then you need to stock the cases, power supplies, VIA processors. Anyways - there is a product suggestions thread for this sort of thing.

You obviously havent looked around that much. I will admit they are rare, but they are still available, just like the one below:

If OcUK had this board, or boards like it, i would snap them up in a second. All OcUK have to do is sell the boards and maybe some shuttle-like Psu's.

I personally think people would buy them, if they could find somewhere that stocked a few and dont have to spend ages searching the net for them.

How does it support C2D if it's Socket 478?

Nice little boards though, I think there are a number of small cases to go with them too, however the cases are often low profile, so it's not like you could whack an 8800 in there.

I did wonder about the 478 and it saying it supports the core 2 duo, so ive emailed them and im waiting for a response.

I personally will be building my own case, though there are some shuttle like cases out there that support these boards and high end graphics cards

Ah right, is there much different between the desktop and the mobile versions, i guess that the moile had less power consumption but are a bit mroe expensive. But then ive not seen any mobile core 2 duos for sale on the market.

Also there are some other decent mini-itx boards out there such as this one:

Nobody ever reads the product suggestion forum

Only you and the mods can see your suggestion so you can say stuff like "A competitor (named competitor) has this - you should get it in - here's a link to it".

If you look - you'll see they get a lot of views from the store staff and mods. People definitely read them, just not you and I.

Ah right, i didnt know it was only myself and the mods that can see it. Last entry on it was one i done like ages ago.

Ill put a link in there for this thread. Cheers for letting me know.
