Smallest ATX case?

Hey guys,

I want to change my case, I'm using the Akasa Zen at the moment but it's just too big for my liking. I've seen the Lian Li-A06, but is there a case smaller than that that'll take an ATX motherboard?

Thanks!

Silverstone LC02 and LC04 are very small if you like a HTPC format.

LC02- 380 mm (W) x 100 mm (H) x 295 mm (D)
LC04 - 420 mm (W) x 115.5 mm (H) x 309.4 mm (D)

but you need riser cards and non-atx psu's (included)

LL-A06 180mm x 388mm x 489mm (W,H,D)

The Lian-Li look like they use the room quite well considering there is a full ATX board still inside them, does the PSU fan sit facing the hard drives? Also are there any cases that take a Micro ATX board but still use a full ATX PSU and are tower form-factor (not cube like the Lian-Li V350)? I'm guessing that if there are then the amount of space saved would be minimal compared to the A05/A06.

Nope it's facing downward but there's a bracket on the bottom of the case that supports it (about 15mm above the case floor).

Antec Mini p180, thats probably the best matx case...i was going to buy it as it looks ace.

Thanks for the suggestion Blackhawk, I didn't mean to hijack the thread and confuse people. I just measured my case I have now compared to the A05/A06 and I save about 20mm in the height which is nearly nothing, I guess my case is a Midi-Tower even though it has the PSU mounted above the motherboard, it seems huge to me, probably because I've never had anything bigger. I think I will have to go with a Micro ATX motherboard, I guess there is a limit on how small you can go with ATX.

well if you do go micro atx, then there are a couple of great motherboards, this is probably the best http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard baby brother of its atx counterpart.
