I have an old E35M1-M PRO motherboard/chipset/integrated graphics.

Quoted dimensions:-

uATX Form Factor
9.6 inch x 7.2 inch ( 24.4 cm x 18.3 cm )

I want to put it in the smallest case I can.

Where are all the tiny cases!

Separate q - is it worth buying a new case or has tech moved on so much I'd be better off finding a pre-built newer alternative.

I just want a pc to plug into the TV and go online, watch films off a harddrive, etc etc.

Thanks a lot for any advice.

I agree, I have a different idea, so my want is another story... The RVZ01 seems small enough, I want a SG05 only wide enough for a mATX...

There will be Skylake NUC's and other tiny pc's built with Skylake CPU's soon with native HEVC Decode (H265 / x265) if you want to go down the prebuilt route.

That old E350 will struggle with even 1080p playback at decent bitrates.
It's not going to give you a good experience, slow windows menu's etc with it's gutless cores and anything it can't accelerate with the iGPU is just a choppy mess.
Do you have any budget for anything other than a case?
What other components do you have lying around you can use?

Lian Li used to make one PC-V800 (ATX not mATX), still fit in a backpack small though, if I had $$ to throw away I would have Protocase make 1, maybe with a few changes though... I have no idea why case makers think, oh they have mATX, here's a 8.50 inch tall monster, oh sorry... Anyway I would love a sys with the dems...
