Hi,

I just put my Ducky One 2 Mini on the MM as I need a KB I can use for both work and gaming so need to go back to full size

It's a shame nkro scissor switch gaming keyboards don't exist as they are usually small and thin and that would be ideal

Anyone in the same boat and have a keyboard they can recommend?

I also need it to be as quiet as possible so MX Silent for Mechs I don't have a very big desk so it needs to be as small as possible too

Thanks

I had a similar issue and ended up with the keychron k4 but doesn't look like it's easy to come by in uk layout

The other option I looked was the Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard (GMMK) but the K4 was a bit smaller

For glorious you can buy the dampened Switches like Zilents, which are really quiet but retain the lovely tactile feel of zealios, which are IMO (and a number of others) the best tactile Switches on the market.

You mention scissor type, I know that Matias do make keyboards in UK with those. They also make silent mechanicals in full size too.

I had a look at the glorious but not sure I'm into having to buy the switches separate but may fall back to it of it becomes the only option

Another option that's not massively expensive is the Fnatic Streak with Silent MX

I'll have a look Matias I've not heard of those, will be very interesting if they are scissor with NKRO

If you're after thin keyboard, Logitech GL switch ones are that.
They're basically comically thin:

Switch is definitely also among the quietest mechanical switches.

Though don't think there's model without those extra macro keys.
But at least there's no extra bloating of size with fancy edges etc.

That's an interesting keyboard, I haven't seen it before. Shame about the width I don't need the macro keys and desk space is limited

Too bad they don't have standard version, which would no doubt sell decently.
Though at least 475mm isn't widest for macro keys including keyboard thanks to lack of gamer garbage shaping.

Hmm that's not too bad I assumed it would be wider, wonder if it has NKRO I'll have a read into it

They have just released a new version of that keyboard without the macro keys.

Yeah it's nice but I'm not sure on the keys the Romer G was supposed to be silent and I thought it was loud plus it's way too expensive and you have to install bloat to configure the lighting

My ideal KB would be scissor switches or MX Silents, small as possible in either TKL or Full size, no bloat, no pointless keys, white backlight and I prefer wired as I'll be using it via a USB switch

It basically doesnt exist

Don't know about NKRO, but I run out of fingers before it stops recognizing simultaneous presses.
Just like in G810 or in G710+ before that.
(later which was horrible in size with bloated gamer design)

Romer-G is quieter than average mechanical switch.
But GL beats it by big margin and makes it sound like typical mechanical noise maker.
