Ive got a 5800x on order from OCUK, so I'm hoping to be up and running with that by end Dec/start Jan hopefully.

Now im thinking of what to do with the Zen+ Ryzen 3 3200g that will be spare, so I thought about building a Plex server as an xmas project, as its fairly low power and wont need much in the way of cooling.
Currently I use an Nvidia Shield Pro with an external USB drive attached as my Plex server, which is pretty decent but im thinking a PC would offer better performance.

I know i wont be able to get something Intel NUC sized....however the key thing will be that I would want the case and motherboard to be as small as possible, as it will be either behind my TV or in TV Unit

Anyone have any suggestions for really small basic AM4 motherboard and case options.

Cheers

Thanks, just has a look. That looks spot on size wise and will take up very little space. I'll have a look for a cheap Mini-ITX motherboard, power adaptor and an 8GB stick of ram and that will set me up nicely!

I saw a Gigabyte model with an integrated cpu/gpu on while having a look around....was less than £60 if i recall. The motherboards without chips look like they can be purchased for around £40ish I just thought about using the Ryzen chip as I will have it spare when my new one arrives.

The server will just be used to stream around the house (maybe sometimes remotely), pretty much what the Nvidia Shield does already, but i thought making a small Plex PC would be a bit more responsive, as well as having a basic PC downstairs connected to TV for use if necessary.
