I am building a small machine that needs to be big on storage. I want to keep it as small as possible though.

I am going to be using a mATX board but I need room for at least 4 x HDD and 1 x DVD ,but I don't want a mid sized or full tower as I need to tuck this away. Also it needs to be as quiet as possible. The system won't be overclocked in anyway and looks don't matter as no one is ever going to set eyes on this other than the cat :P

Lian li 354??

Takes a mATX board a full odd and upto 7 hard drives!!

Not a really small case but probably one of the smallestl that'll take 4 hard drives??

* 7x 3.5" drives + 2x 2.5" (plus a couple more with some sticky tape :D) or if you don't want to use 5.25" optical you can get another 3.5", 2.5" and slim optical in.

Except its m-ITX, not m-ATX :(

Sorry, missed that bit in your original post. However, if you've not already bought the board then perhaps you could consider Mini ITX?

If you're not overclocking then you'll still get a full-powered system, but you will be limited to 4 SATA ports unless you get a RAID card (which I'd probably recommend doing anyway).
