Smallest Windows 10 Machine

Mods: I'm hoping this is the correct forum as the device in question has to be Windows 10.

Considering the criteria below, what's the absolute smallest, compact unit available that could run a W10 environment? I would be willing to build from scratch if required.

Usb ports (2 minimum)
HDMI out to 1920*1080
240gb storage
Bluetooth
Wireless
LAN
O365 compatible

Essentially, I'd like a little portable box the size of a Steam Link that I could just sit on a desk and use as a fully functioning Windows 10 device.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head but a few months ago a company was showing off a credit card sized machine with those specs (obviously thicker than a credit card).

EDIT: Might have been the Zotac Pico not 100% sure - annoyingly can't find it now everything I'm turning up is 32 or 64GB storage.

I have an older generation NUC running W10 that is about 2 years old. Has been rock solid.

Was going to suggest a NUC. I have one at work, they seem to work OK.

NUCs are exceptionally good. Even older ones with 4Gb extra ram and an SSD are pretty damn sweet. I used one for a few months as a streaming/office PC and it was superb. Actually wish I hadn't built my wife a PC before buying a NUC to give it a try. It could easily have done what she was after.

If you also want a portable monitor I'd suggest something like a WIMAXIT 8 Inch IPS 1280x800, it's HDMI and USB powered which can run obviously straight off the NUC so you only need one power socket at any point.

Limited resolution but depends what you need it for.

The latest 8th gen NUC's are extremely fast with 4C/8T (i5 and i7). They've also got thunderbolt so an external gpu can be used if required.

Great bits of kit - we've moved exclusively to them at work. The latest ones even have 6 core chips in the same tiny package.

If you Google NUC8I5BEH there's a UK distributor doing it for £329.99 but it looks like I would have to buy memory & SSD separately? That makes it quite expensive.

Yes, I forgot about that. I'm looking to avoid carrying a laptop around but I'm not sure these tiny PC's are a viable alternative as the laptop would be cheaper and have a screen/keyboard integrated.

They're definitely not an alternative. Both have their places. Reading your original post, if portability is your main criteria, only a laptop would suffice. Perhaps something very light.
