Just wondering if anyone knows of a cheap Smart Card and reader that I can use in a homelab at all, I'm wanting to do some testing of smart card logons. No option to use virtual smart cards at this point

Cheers,

I had an old acer travelmate that came with a smart card reader built in and a couple of smart cards. I think there was some software with it to do basic things and I think there may have been Linux software around at the time.
I kind of wish I'd looked into it instead of just using it to login and save my passwords for websites and the like.
Maybe you could find an old secondhand one for next to nothing?
My latitude 10 tablet also came with a reader but no cards. You may be able to pick one of them up cheaply now as well since they have been replaced with the new windows 8.1 tablets?
