Smart Move

Hey,
Recently when organsing and moving files around, I ahve noticed that the file transfer dialog now states that it is performing a "Smart Move"

If I rename directory, it does a smart move. and in the title bar it states:

"Smart Move in progress..."

What does this mean?

I searched online for something about it but find nothing!

I just want to know if it is a legitimate feature of windows as I have not seen it before

Do you have a screenshot? I have never seen the Move dialog say Smart Move on any of my Windows 7 machines...

Think I have just figured it.

Try searching for "Smart Move" on this site:

I installed the HardLinkShellExtension the other week to facilitate the syncing of certain files and folders to my netbook and that each would update automatically over windows live sync.

I guess that is what this is.
