I need a little advice please, from those in the know;
The time has come for me to buy a new TV for our vacation home (in Greece).
All TV's seem to be smart TVs and so am planning to buy this one (or similar);
SAMSUNG UE55MU7000 for about 1200 euros.
We have no internet on our vacation home (intentional), and I have never had a smart TV before. It will not / never be connected to the internet, which I am fine with, and know I wont be able to access connected services etc. (I don't actually want to on vacation) - We just channel hop and plug an HDD of movies in for the kids.
My question is simply this,
Is the TV going to ask me every time I turn it on to connect to the internet - on screen messages etc.? or will it just function as a normal TV picking up the analogue and digital channels available, and not keep asking for a connection?
Sorry for my ignorance but I am a projector guy, and they aren't smart - yet.
