My Dad wants a new TV and to be honest, I don't really know a great deal about what is good and bad.
It must be Smart TV, for which I thought initially LG were good for, but noticed a few posts saying the WebOS is slow.
No bigger than 40".

Any recommendations?

Thank you.
That looks like a nice set.

Do you have it yourself?
Only thing I cannot tell is whether the smart part also has a web browser. That was something he mentioned would be nice.

Nope. I did try to get dad (age 77) to buy one, it was more than enough for his needs. He went for a 4K one instead  I'm now trying to explain to him what 4K is & why he didn't need said telly when one £200- would've done the job he wanted.

My Dad was asking about 4k too. Just said it wasn't worth the extra as no content available really, especially on standard channels which is mainly what he watches.
Hopefully he listened:p

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
I think he has s going for the Panasonic from John Lewis, mainly as it can be ordered for delivery, whereas Richer Sounds is shop only.
