I hope I'm in the right place as this is my first post in here..
I am looking for help to connect a vhs player to my Hisense TV.
I have tried using 3colour leads with a connector to the AVI slot..
I've tried to connect with a scart lead with a HDMI on the other side again no luck.
I've actually just bought another VHS and the same it didn't work..I hope someone will have a solution please.
Thank you

I would assume that you need an active convertor for this, because SCART is analogue and HDMI is digital.

Looks a bit complicated from a google, "scart 011697" or "scart 5026686001648" maybe?

First things first, what inputs are available on your TV.
I have 3 HDMI slots AV slot USB as well..
Shame I don't know if we can post photos in here otherwise I could have shown you.
My tv is Hisense 65 inch tv..the latest model.

Yes you can post photos, videos
It's a bit of a PITA sometimes to figure it out
Use something like postimg or similar
Then paste the link that says for forums/thumbnail for forums

Should be able to get it to work
A while back I did same for an elderly neighbour
Was approximately £10--15 whatever i got to do hers
My memory is terrible
But might have been scart to hdmi
Would have to go search through an awful lot of amazon
History to find exactly what it was though

What exactly do you mean by AV input, that could mean any number of inputs.

just search scart to hdmi. buy one. plug it in. job done ?
They're not brilliant tbh, I tried using one to link my Amiga to a normal monitor, yeah, I thought it would be job done,

But the best option turned out to be getting a cheap older flat screen that has scart built into it, millions on ebay, and very cheap really, though I understand that the OP probably just wants his VCR to just work with his normal television,, oh crap, I'm reading scart in the title and not smart, you too?

Ah bless you thank you.
Sadly I tried a scart with hdmi and no luck.
I think it also maybe an issue with age of the video players..
My dad has a video player and I borrowed it and tried it out and it worked..The sad thing is my dad has Dementia and doesn't like any sort of change , he said I could have it then had a panic so I took it back..so they can work but I'm trying with the 2 I have .

No sorry I bought the VCR to my house and tried it on my TV with the 3 colour leads into the AV port and it worked.
Unfortunately I had to take it back

Going by this guide, Threepwood is correct. You need a RCA to HDMI convertor.

https://geoffthegreygeek.com/how-do-i-connect-a-vcr-to-a-flat-screen-tv/#:~:text=Connect a VCR with HDMI only on the TV&text=You need a converter box,HDMI inputs of the TV.

It also explains how to connect using the just the 3 coloured RCA cables direct to the TV if you have the correct ports.
Hi I have done this and sadly it didn't work but I bought another VCR which does have the 3 coloured slots, what im going to do I buy this again lol .I sent it back as it wasn't working but I will give another go thanks
