Smart warning

My hard drive S.M.A.R.T is warning me that the temps 60 oC

What are the "normal" hard drive temps? Could I kill my drive by using it

my 2 hard drives are running at 25 and 31 degrees at the moment.
The cooler one being an old IDE drive

Yeah that's not very nice at all. My personal view on Hard drives is if you can't keep your hand pressed on them, then they're too hot. I'd be looking for around half of that.
