Smart Watches

I've never understood the obsession with battery life on the watches, do you all sleep with your watch on?

I take mine off every night and put it on the watch stand to charge, no issue at all. On the odd occasion I have been away or whatever it lasts two days, worse case I put it in power save.
I resisted for ages but brought an apple one at Christmas when the price dropped, really like it.

Yes, yes I do. I like using the vibration alarm on it so it doesn't wake everyone else up.

That said my Pebble (the original not the colour one) can do my entire work week without a recharge.

I have a gen 1 Moto360 battery life is not to bad now it's on android 6.0 and will last a day and half without always on feature turned off.

you get used to the flat tyre effect effect pretty quick tbh, it does have a mic for voice commands which i have used, but not always successfully, next time i will probably get a Huewai watch as it looks better quality.

I wear a Fenix 3 daily. I got it mainly for the tracking and sports functions but ended up just wearing it all the time as the smart functions are quite handy! The battery life is pretty good, if I don't use the GPS it lasts several weeks.

Got the SS Apple Watch with the link bracelet and not looked back, always liked watches although not felt compelled to wear a "normal" watch since I got this.

I have a ss apple watch, yes its expensive and I was sceptical at first (was the same about mobile phones years ago) but I find it very usefull and like my phone wouldnt be with out it.

Battery is a non issue, I dont fiddle with it all day. It will last 2 days but I tend to charge it each night as I dont sleep with it on.

Apple pay is awsome:D

I am thinking about getting an Android one. Can you use them as a phone. like talk into them. do they have mic/ speaker?

My Gear S2 Classic is awesome.

So is mine, i have a habit of buying a watch, wearing for a few days then it'll end up in my drawers never to be worn again, i've got about 7 watches now.

Since i bought my Gear S2 classic when it had 30% off about 6 weeks ago, mine hasn't been off my wrist, i average around 23k steps a day working in the kitchen, it's comfortable, the battery will last easily 2 days as long as wifi is switched off and auto gesture is off too (where you turn to look at your watch and it switches on). However, like has already been mentioned, when i go to bed, i just put mine in it's cradle overnight and it's full again, no big deal.

I had an original pebble which i only bought as it was on a special offer on amazon a couple of years ago and I loved it normally 5-7 days charge, I have since upgraded to a pebble time steel and it excellent, 10 day battery life and a decent selection of apps.

I really like that i can have my phone on silent all the time and that i can leave it on my desk and just check my watch to see if i need to take the call rather than having to rush back to my desk at work or office at home.

Yeah, that's a real bummer. It'll be cool if they invented a phone was was like portable or mobile in some way ;)
