Smart / well thought out SFF case designs

Can be old or new or just one part of a case that works especially well.
Following my 'project 20' build I'm looking to do a case from scratch and would like some pointers or ideas.

Also in two minds to make it very specific to my current hardware or able to fit pcie cards in at a later date...(may compromise and just size it for LP cards)

Footprint to be A4 sized

I still like my Silverstone SG03 case, and considering it's micro-ATX form factor it shows up the recent mini-ITX cases when comparing external dimensions.

Silverstone could have reduced height of case by around 5cm if removed optical drive bay, or added ability to house a radiator and fans in area instead.

What I like is the ease of cleaning front filter without having it open case, but removing the mesh grill could have been improved. As I personally use a small flat headed screwdriver to un-clip grill, but other people might just use fingernails.

The filtered positive pressure design keeps case pretty clean. The only dust I've seen forming has been in the alcoved base/drive caddy area after years of ownership.

that thread is a great resource - thanks Vicent will have a good read tomorrow.
Didn't realize it had so much design work (different designs) earlier on.
Psu placement does look like one of the key design decisions.
