Hi guys had my pc about a 9 months now (e6600 with gigabyte ds4 mobo with latest f8 bios) its ran fine and dandy untill yesterday, i nipped the toilet and heard some beeps eminating from my pc, got back to pc and my fan had appeared to have stopped working and the temp alarm had kicked in. After a brief moment of shock i shut it down and powered it back up again and the fan seemed to kick in with everything running as per normal. It's happened 2 more times now and im getting a bit worried that something is knackered. On one occasion i quickly opened the case and span the fan around with my finger and it seemed to kick back in so im not sure if its smartfan or the actual fan itself. Was wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem and is there any fix apart from just disabling smartfan altogether? it seems to happen at random times , the fan just drops to 0 rpm and stays there.
