Hi all.

Seeking suggestions.

For the wife, her phone last night looks like it may have bricked itself, it is heading towards 4 and a half years old.

Suggestions for a new one?

Budget £300, focus on battery life, camera and storage as she basically just takes millions of photos with it and goes on Facebook etc.

Usb-c connection also, but I'm guessing most do these day anyway?

Oh and from Amazon sold by Amazon please, as in past experience I've had a very good outcome on a nearly 2 year old nexus 5x that bricked itself when LG didn't want to know.

8GB, 256GB Poco F3.

No IP rating or wireless charging (has fast wired charging) but if you're not fussed about those there's not much better for the money.

There's an online guide to remove all the recommendations and ad crap.
After that you've got a bloat free snappy phone with decent battery life (getting ~7h screen on time on mine).

If she takes lots of pictures I would say Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro or Edge 30.
The edge 20 Pro can be had for 330.
I have that Poco F3 and I would not recommend it for your wife as the camera does not have OIS and images can be sketchy with shaky hands or trying to get a pic of my kids running around. It's great for games and battery life but Motorola has better stock android and a decent camera. This is my personal experience with the F3 and a colleague has an Edge 20.

Ps the Edge 20 Pro has the same CPU as the F3 so performance is grand.

You can get a Google Pixel 6a for £299 when trading any old phone in at Currys*, working or not. Can be done instore as well, which is a nice bonus.

*Mods please delete if not allowed.
