Just hard resetted my HTC Touch Pro, restored all contacts back using PCM Backup.

My Outlook has previous contacts, when I attach HTC via active sync it will clear my phone.

When the phone is normally synced you can deselect to sync contacts, on the first sync your cannot.

Thanks Chiz, yes with the first sync it will delete all contacts on the phone without asking me. As well as delete the contacts in outlook which were the correct ones previous to hard resetting the phone.

Have you checked your setting on the synch program and also within outlook...usually it will give u the option of synching both ways or from phone to outlook or outlook to phone..also you should have the option to resolve conflicts ie if the same entry exists on outlook will it replace the entry on the device or vice versa.
