I use the "SmartTV Client for Twitch" app on my telly, it is *vastly* superior to the actual Twitch app, and up until just recently it actually appeared to block adverts on all channels. Never saw one add when using this client until it updated itself the other day. I guess Twitch have got round to forcing the developer of the app to stop ads being blocked. One of the best features of this app before was the ability to "surf" a grid based display of channels, which would play the content of the channel, with audio, in the thumbnail, and not have it play umpteen adverts before showing the channel, like the normal Twitch app does, so you could properly surf and not waste time. Anyway, does anyone else use this app, and more to the point, does anyone know how to get round this apparent change? Long shot I know.

On the browser side Twitch has been actively getting around adblockers, so it's been a cat and mouse chase between them and adblocker developers. Wouldn't surprise me if it started affecting apps.
Is this Android TV? If so you could check out S0undTV, it's what I used. Haven't used it recently though so no idea if it still blocks ads.

It is both my Android TV and via a Firestick. I'll have a look at that app, ta.
I also use S0undTV. Very good alternative to the official one. I hadn't realised it was blocking ads as a feature, I thought I was just getting lucky!
There was a short period about 2 weeks ago where ads were slipping through, even on a channel I was subbed on, but it has since been fixed (or resolved itself. I checked the Discord and apparently the developer hadn't gotten round to changing anything and it was sorted).
