Yup, just got the update and it's more than a 5.0 compatibility update. The amount of customisation options is insane! I was about to suggest allowing us to change the ambient colours but it was already included in this update :p. Now I can select a darker colour on every element, which should help with power usage/screen burn on my G Watch R.
 
Tell me about it. You can literally change everything!

If this is what the new API brings then bring it on. :D
 
Hmm am I missing something...

Can't no longer silence the watch without it also silencing the phone. The settings are synced between phone and watch. Sometimes it was useful to put the watch on mute but keep the phone on loud or silent :-(

If you're using a phone based on Lollipop then it will do that, there's no way around it sadly without downgrading the watch or phone.
 
Anyone else finding the battery to be much worse now?
Went bed with it at 71%, woke to it at 27%. Pre update that'd have been on 50-60%.

I'm actually finding it better now, I think I can squeeze an extra half a day of battery life now.

Might be best to uninstall some apps, some don't work properly under 5.0 and could be causing a power drain.
 
My battery was bad when i had Mini Wear Launcher and Wear Battery Stats. Wasnt even getting 8hrs!

NOw with the latest update and those apps gone i can easily manage a full day
 
Well, got my Moto 360 yesterday and I'm very impressed with it. For starters, it doesn't look stupid on my wrist, even with a dress shirt.
I've popped the 5.x update on it and it seems to be running nicely. A full charge when I put it on my wrist this morning and it's at 40% battery now after 11.5 hours. That's good enough, especially as I've been playing with it today. I imagine that once I leave it alone that battery life with shoot up.
One thing I would like is a quick way to see the weather forecast without having to speak to it and without having to wait for a card to pop up. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I dunno.
 
Also got one for xmas off the other half. Ive got the black leather strap version, Does anyone know where you can purchase the offical black metal strap?.
 
I've added some stuff.
Wear Mini Launcher - Pretty useful simple app launcher. Means I don't need to go digging through menus. Also has a useful toggles screen that enables things like turning mobile hotspot on the phone on.
Evernote - Dictate notes and see recent notes
Rearview - See what your phone's camera sees. Useful when looking under sofas for stuff or around engines etc.
IFTTT - Allows stuff to be triggered based on a set of criteria. Hard to explain but very useful.
 
Wife got me a G watch r for christmas, impressed. been playing with it for two days solid lol

annoyed at the amount of decent watch faces that have a built in flat tire you suck Motorola.
