Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

Well it's an Android Wear thread so I thought that much would be obvious ;)

Hopefully the 360 ETA won't be too far away!

Belloni - I was in the same situation as you...picked mines up knowing there will be a Rev 2 this year but it's a fantastic piece of kit :) Much better than my LG G Watch :p

Good to know :) I was deciding between that and the LG watch, but I just don't like the dial around that. I'm in love with the LG Watch Urbane, but i'm not paying £250 for that. Pick it up tomorrow!

Pegasus, I haven't got it yet but for £90 I don't see why not, on the reviews it's a great bit of kit to add to your life, if you're a gadget fiend like myself.

ok sweet,

Gonna see if I can order it instore to use the another voucher!

The problem I'm finding with Android Wear is that when you start using it...you really don't want to be without it :p

I had this problem when I went on holiday and didn't wear it a few times due to potential tan lines but then realised...I'll have it on all the time when back home anyways!

I got 5.1.1 on my GWR last night, not really looked at it much but I do like the way I can flick my wrist to go though my notifications.

Ok i've installed Android Wear on my phone in preparation for this afternoon, but my god it's draining my battery like nobody's business...! Any ideas?

Just got the watch, heart rate sensory seems very hit and miss, but to be honest I'm not using it for fitness.

I can see myself spending a fortune on different watch faces!

Also, how far can I go with my watch away from my phone?!

It looks incredibly odd in pictures but in real life I find I just don't notice it so much, usually there's a notification there with a flat top and it just makes a flat bottom for that, or if no notification and a black watch face it's not immediately obvious.

I thought it was going to be a huge issue looking at pictures before I got mine, then after the excitement of an impulse buy and I didn't notice it at all :)

Liking it so far, had to turn off whats app notifications though as that will drain my battery fast due to a lot of messages. The bottom bit genuinely doesn't bother me, I thought it might.

On some days I can get over 500 messages (due to group chats) during work, which I only glance on my watch. Haven't noticed any significant decrease to battery life compared to the days I don't get any notifications.

Ok good to know :) What I am finding is that my phone will last even longer now as i'm not having to check it as much for notifications, win win!

Is anyone running the latest android wear version on their phones with their moto 360?.
Looking at all the reviews people are complaining that its killing their 360's battery life.
Ive held off updating just incase!.
